Have you ever asked yourself is this task too hard and worth the effort, or thought that a goal was impossible? We are all faced with challenges each day. Some have personal gain while other have global gain, and each have different meaning in our lives.

Since 1981, I have dedicated my life for both. Achieving personal gain can engergize you and open your eyes to bigger success. You can take that energy and carry that on your shoulders to make our world better. That world can be your family, your social life, something you are passionate about, your work, and for global social movements.

I have taken my successes and used those to make an impact on my worlds. But in order to be successful, you need to face failure. Failure is a building block of success.

When I watch highlights of basketball great, Michael Jordan, I see a well tuned athlete who is successful on many levels, but even his success was paved by failure.

Here is a quote from Michael Jordan that is something I carry with me in my personal life and in my work…

For me success is wealth. My latest book A New Way to Wealth: The Power of Doing More with Less was built on the energy of small and big victories, as well as those failures. I have dedicated my life to search for solutions that embrace business value, social movements and our environment, all while embracing frugality.

Dinah A. Koehler, Sc.D., Harvard, Board Member of the Medical Consortium on Climate and Public Health mentions this when talking about my latest book saying:

“A world riddled by surveillance capitalism, rampant consumerism, and power politics,” where every decision/preference/thought become commodities. In this compelling book after his fantastic 2040: A Fable, Bruce Piasecki offers the notion of doing more with less. We need to embrace a concept of competitive frontiers informed by planetary boundaries, and find solutions that address business value, social needs and environmental health. His words give us hope and direction.”

I want you to look at wealth in a different way. I want you to embrace frugality and failure. I want you to understand the power of doing more with less.

We can all succeed by embracing wins, but also by embracing our failures. Wealth can be achieved by doing more with less.

I invite you to download a free 40 page advance readers copy of my book A New Way to Wealth: The Power of Doing More with Less, and I ask you to find something in the book that will stay with you the way Michael Jordans words stayed with me.

We can all learn to fly.
